Access barrier
Advanced technology-creation experiences can be expensive, far away or difficult for many families to find.
Game Animation Lab transforms the professional experience of 3S Design Lab into opportunities for learning, creativity and access to technology for Hispanic children, teens and families.
A social initiative powered by 3S Design Lab.
Game Animation Lab, known as GAL, is a community and educational initiative created to connect Hispanic children, teens and families with creative and technology industries.
We use video games, animation, digital creation, electronics and fabrication as gateways to spark curiosity, develop skills and discover new possibilities.
GAL was not created as a traditional academy. It was created as a meeting point for community, technology, creativity, industry and opportunity.
Many families recognize that technology is essential to their children's future, but they do not always find experiences that are accessible, culturally relevant and available in their own language.
Advanced technology-creation experiences can be expensive, far away or difficult for many families to find.
Spanish-speaking parents can be excluded from the educational process when communication, guidance and support are provided only in English.

Each activity is designed to connect creativity, technology and teamwork through tangible and memorable outcomes.
